Edit: I worked on the edges some, and tried to make the palette a little more harmonious.

I plan on having prints of this painting available at Wizard World New Orleans in January.

Original Text: This is a digital painting I did as a present for a friend of mine who is a huge Nintendo fan. There are a couple of compositional problems, but overall I was pretty pleased with how it turned out.

i would argue that samus height is off ... but nevermind
picture is awesome ... ... i just pretend mario had a mushroom making him taller ^^

I love what you did with Mario! Mario's one of my least favorite video game characters because he's just so dull. His only abilities are jump and fist-pump. Even when he can throw fire, he doesn't think to throw it in any direction but down and forward. If any game ever let you wield fire in, say, a constant stream, or in a small, focused laser, that would be awesome.

And Samus! I like that you actually drew her armor and DIDN'T completely womanize her. However, why is she so short? Samus is supposed to be 6'3 without her powersuit. Since Peach had to bend over to kiss Mario in Super Mario 64, and Peach isn't (I assume) like 8 feet tall, I'd say Samus should be taller than Mario. I know I'm probably thinking it through too much, but it does kind of bother me.

And, lastly, Link! Link is awesome both in Zelda and in this picture. But: why is he wearing lipstick? Did he just come from Zelda's castle without looking in a mirror, or is it a new fetish of his? I sure hope he hasn't started wearing lipstick. That'd be really weird.

All in all, I love this! Favorited for sure!

This is an incredibly well done picture. Mario is just short of falling into the uncanny valley, while Link is not quite so fortunate to avoid that. Samus' armor is magnificently done.

The only thing that I could think of to improve Link's appearance is to have him looking more effeminate, due to that usually being his portrayal in almost every appearance he has. Not saying that he is a feminine person, but his appearance has never been so utterly masculine before.
